The Louisville Cardinals and USC Trojans will wrap up their 2023 season when they face off on the evening of Wednesday, Dec. 27 in the Holiday Bowl.

The 8 p.m. kickoff from inside San Diego’s Petco Park will be carried nationally on FOX. Gus Johnson (play-by-play), Joel Klatt (analyst) and Jenny Taft (sideline) will be on the call.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Louisville is a 6.5-point favorite to end their season with an 11th victory. This will be the 11th time in 14 games that the Cardinals have taken the field as a favorite this season. They are 8-2 straight up in those games thus far.

After a disappointing 7-5 season, USC will be playing Wednesday night without a number of its key players, who have either opted out of the game or entered the transfer portal. Chief among those is quarterback Caleb Williams, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner and potentially the No. 1 pick in this spring’s NFL Draft.

Louisville will also be playing without a pair of key offensive performers. Leading rusher Jawhar Jordan and leading receiver Jamari Thrash have both opted out of the game in order to prepare for the NFL Draft.
