Porter is another player that saw his recruitment heat up early in high school. He is listed between 6-1.5 and 6-4 but based on his highlights I would say he’s about 6-2/275 and should be able to get to 290+ pounds in college. His burst and quickness at the snap jumps out at you and I love the way he plays with his hands up front. He uses swim moves and bends well to get around interior offensive linemen and he can close pretty well in short areas. He is not going to run down a lot of plays outside the tackle box but that is a plus to me but not a requirement.

Louisville is deep on the interior defensive line and they continue to add players from the portal. Porter is not the type of talent that you’d expect to play in year one but he definitely has the size and tools to be a contributor down the road. The staff has made it clear that they are looking for big bodies and depth on the defensive line and they’re being selective with who they bring in.
