Louisville wide receiver Jamari Thrash has announced that he will be opting out of the Cardinals’ Dec. 27 Holiday Bowl game against USC and entering his name into the 2024 NFL Draft.
In his lone season with the Cards, Thrash led the squad in receiving with 63 receptions for 858 yards and six touchdowns. A second team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honoree, Thrash finished fourth in the ACC in receptions and third in yards while leading the Cards to a 10-3 mark and an appearance in the ACC title game.
Thrash recorded a pair of 100-yard receiving contests in 12 games. He totaled a career high 159 yards on four receptions in a 21-14 win over Indiana and caught a season high nine passes for 120 yards in a road contest at Pittsburgh.
Thrash has accepted an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., on Feb. 3, 2024.
I think when Louisville started targeting and landing some of the higher-profile wide receivers available in the portal, you could sort of start to see this one coming.
Best of luck to Jamari with the remainder of his career, and a major thank you for the large part he played in making the start of the Jeff Brohm era so successful.
