It’s so over.

The culmination of one of the more embarrassing off-the-court days in the recent history of the Louisville men’s basketball program was one of the more embarrassing on-court performances in the recent history of the Louisville men’s basketball program.

Both of those statements are doing some heavy lifting.

Louisville showed zero fight, zero pride and played zero defense on its way to a 75-63 home loss at the hands of a 3-7 Arkansas State team that was picked to finish ninth in the Sun Belt before the start of the season.

The win was the first for the Red Wolves over a power conference opponent since a win over Mississippi State in 2014. Arkansas State had previously been beaten by Wisconsin, Iowa and Alabama by a combined 67 points.

It’s over. When does that become official? Maybe tonight. Maybe next week. Maybe not for another three months. But it’s over.

For now, we keep sitting.
