Louisville RB Jawhar Jordan announced Wednesday afternoon that he will be entering his name into the 2024 NFL Draft, and that he won’t play in U of L’s Dec. 27 Holiday Bowl game against USC.

“First and foremost, I want to thank God for giving me a life changing opportunity to further my academic and athletic career,” Jordan said in a statement. ”It has been a long journey but nonetheless a blessing. Secondly, I want to thank my family and friends for their unconditional love and being there for me every step of this journey. To my teammates, I will never forget the memories made on and off the field, I will cherish them forever.”

Jordan, who came to Louisville in 2021 after two seasons at Syracuse, earned First Team All-ACC honors this season after rushing for 1,128 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also caught 21 passes for 246 yards and another score.

Thanks for everything, Jaws. You were a beast.
