Here is your weekly report on how the former Louisville Cardinals did in the NFL over the weekend. The Cards currently have 11 former players on active NFL rosters, and yes, I am counting Jonathan Greenard in this. We are one week closer to Teddy vs Lamar in week four. Just throwing that out there.

*On Monday, Javian Hawkins signed with the LA Rams and will join their practice squad.

Jaire Alexander

Cornerback

Green Bay Packers

Alexander started and had four tackles (three solo) in a 35-17 win over the Lions on Monday Night Football.

Tutu Atwell

Wide Receiver

Los Angeles Rams

Atwell subbed in at wide receiver but did not have a reception. He had one punt return for zero yards. The Rams beat the Colts 27-24.

Mekhi Becton

Offensive Tackle

New York Jets

Becton injured his knee in week one and is expected to miss 4-8 weeks.

Teddy Bridgewater

Quarterback

Denver Broncos

Teddy started and completed 26 of 34 passes for 328 yards (long of 55 yards), two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He rushed four times for one yard and was sacked three times for 26 yards. His QB rating was 125.6. The Broncos beat the Jaguars 23-13 and are now 2-0 on the season.

Geron Christian

Offensive Line

Houston Texans

Christian subbed in on the offensive line in a 31-21 loss to the Browns.

Dorian Etheridge

Linebacker

Atlanta Falcons

Etheridge subbed in at linebacker but did not record any stats in a 48-25 loss to the Buccaneers.

Jonathan Greenard

Defensive End

Houston Texans

Greenard was inactive this week against the Browns.

Lamar Jackson

Quarterback

Baltimore Ravens

Lamar started and completed 18 of 26 passes for 239 yards (long of 42 yards) with one touchdown and two interceptions. He rushed 16 times for 107 yards (long of 21 yards) and two touchdowns. He was sacked one time for nine yards and his QB rating was 78.8. The Ravens beat the Chiefs 36-35.

Per Kelly Dickey, Lamar is 31-8 as a starter, which is tied for the most wins in an NFL QB’s first 39 starts with Patrick Mahomes, Kurt Warner, and Dan Marino.

John Miller

Offensive Line

Carolina Panthers

Miller started at guard in a 26-7 win over the Saints.

DeVante Parker

Wide Receiver

Miami Dolphins

Parker started and had five receptions for 42 yards (long of 16 yards). The Dolphins lost 35-0 to the Bills.

Sheldon Rankins

Defensive Line

New York Jets

Rankins subbed in on the defensive line and had two tackles (one solo). One of his tackles was a sack for seven yards. The Jets lost to the Patriots 25-6.
