NFL: Denver Broncos at New York Giants Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Here is your weekly report on how the former Louisville Cardinals did in the NFL over the weekend. The Cards currently have 11 former players on active NFL rosters, and yes, I am counting Jonathan Greenard in this.

Jaire Alexander

Cornerback

Green Bay Packers

Alexander started and had four tackles (two solo) in a 38-3 loss to the Saints.

Tutu Atwell

Wide Receiver

Los Angeles Rams

Atwell played some wide receiver but did not record any stats in a 34-14 win over the Bears.

Mekhi Becton

Offensive Tackle

New York Jets

Becton started at left tackle. He was injured during the game and will miss about 4-5 weeks after suffering an MCL sprain and kneecap dislocation. He will go on IR but will return this season. The Jets lost 19-14 to the Panthers.

Teddy Bridgewater

Quarterback

Denver Broncos

Teddy started and completed 28 of 36 passes for 264 yards (long of 25 yards), two touchdowns, and no interceptions. He was sacked twice for nine yards and rushed three times for 19 yards (long of eight yards). His QB rating was 115.7. The Broncos defeated the Giants 27-13.

Geron Christian

Offensive Line

Houston Texans

Christian subbed in on the offensive line in a 37-21 win over the Jaguars.

Dorian Etheridge

Linebacker

Atlanta Falcons

Etheridge subbed in at linebacker but did not record any stats in a 32-6 loss to the Eagles.

Jonathan Greenard

Defensive End

Houston Texans

Greenard was inactive this week against the Jaguars.

Lamar Jackson

Quarterback

Baltimore Ravens

Lamar started and completed 19 of 30 passes for 235 yards (long of 49 yards) with one touchdown and no interceptions. He rushed 12 times for 86 yards (long of 28 yards). He was sacked three times for 18 yards and had a QB rating of 98.6. He fumbled three times and lost two of them, including one in overtime that allowed the Raiders to get the ball back and score to win the game 33-27.

John Miller

Offensive Line

Carolina Panthers

Miller was on the COVID-19 list this week.

DeVante Parker

Wide Receiver

Miami Dolphins

Parker started and had four receptions on seven targets for 81 yards. His longest catch went for 30 yards. The Dolphins beat the Patriots 17-16.

Sheldon Rankins

Defensive Line

New York Jets

Rankins subbed in on the defensive line and had a fumble recovery in the 19-14 loss to the Panthers.
