#42 Josh Lifson
Class: Freshman
Ht/Wt: 6-3/230
Position: Tight End
Hometown: Louisville, KY (Product of KCD)
Twitter: @JoshLifson
Thoughts: Josh is a Louisville local out of Kentucky Country Day who went off to Wofford College out of high school but found his way back to the city of Louisville last year and is ready to provide even more depth in the tight end room.
Josh was an offensive weapon for sure in high school, stacking up over 1,500 yards receiving and 18 touchdowns. I was gonna save this for the ‘Sweet Tweet’ but this snag deserves some main post love…”da da da, da da da”

Josh is not likely to see significant action in 2021 at the tight end spot with the players we have there right now, but should continue to be a solid contributor on the practice squad each week.
Sweet Tweet:
Never forget went he sent me yard twice in a game https://t.co/vEvHJLOlvB

#42 Allen Smith
Class: RS Freshman
Ht/Wt: 6-2/230
Position: Linebacker
Hometown: Loganville, GA
Twitter: @allensmithjr_
Thoughts: Smith has been with the program for a bit now, holding his redshirt back in 2019 only appearing in two games and then getting PT in three contests last year against Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. As a reminder, Allen was a Top 100 outside linebacker out of high school but saw some recruiting drop off when he had an injury early into his Senior season. Smith, even though he has been around for a minute still has time to make a mark as some opportunities will start to open up in that room in the seasons to come, and if he’s up for it he could be playing here until 2024.
If I had to guess I’d say Smith is another 3-5 game situational contributor in 2021 looking to position himself in a spot to steal some time in 2022 and beyond. A solid guy out in coverage with some decent speed at the position, one to keep an eye on.
Sweet Tweet:

Real talk, Christian Fitzpatrick didn’t transfer, he just had to drive up to East Lansing to find a spot to park and then stuck around.
