Last month, Schmid ended his college career by helping guide the U of L men’s golf to a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championships, the best in program history. He left the school as the all-time leader in career stroke average, and finished in the top 10 at 20 different tournaments.
Schmid is currently ranked as the No. 12 amateur in the world, and is expected to turn pro after this weekend’s tournament in Scotland.
