The Louisville 2022 recruiting class got another commitment tonight with Chance Morrow joining the fold. Morrow is a 6-6/205 receiver from North Carolina. Morrow hasn’t been rated by any of the recruiting services so far but he has listed offers from Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Miami, and Virginia Tech. Gunter Brewer offered Morrow in May and sealed the deal during his official visit this weekend.

Personally, I think Morrow is a fascinating prospect. He’s essentially a basketball player that shows a ton of promise as a route runner. So the ball skills and the hands are there but he also shows the ability to cut and drop his hips on intermediate routes. He is a fluid athlete for his size and does a very good job on jump balls. He won’t likely be a player that will see the field early but he has traits that make me believe he should be able to develop with Brewer’s coaching.

Louisville has a few veteran receivers that will be exiting the program over the next two years and need to backfill those spots. Morrow should be able to come in next season and learn while working on his body. With the staff offering a decent amount of receivers lately, I would expect them to take a slot receiver in this class as well.
