Top-Seeded Stanford extended its current winning streak to 17 games with a lopsided 89-62 win over Missouri State in the Sweet 16. The Cardinal, which led by as many as 34 points in that game, are now 28-2 on the season and 9-1 in neutral site games. The team has not lost since Jan. 22.

Leading Stanford is Pac-12 Coach of the Year Tara VanDerveer, the winningest coach in women’s basketball history with 1,122 career wins over 42 seasons. The Cardinal are averaging 78.9 points per game, while holding opponents to a 53.1 mark. Stanford limits opponents to a 32.6 field goal percentage, the second-best mark in the country. Stanford ranks in the top five nationally in rebounds, blocked shots and field-goal percentage defense.

Four Cardinal boast double digits scoring averages, led by 14.5 points from Kiana Williams. Williams’ 307 career three-point field goals are a program record, while she also ranks in top-ten with 1,807 career points. Haley Jones leads the team with 7.4 rebounds per game, while Cameron Brink ranks in the top 10 and top 20 in the country with a .581 percentage from the field and 2.6 blocks per game, respectively.
