The Louisville women’s basketball team has earned a No. 2 seed for the 2021 NCAA tournament. The Cards are the second-seed in the Alamo Region and will take on Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champion Marist a week from tonight at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
Here’s a full look at the region, where the Stanford Cardinal are the No. 1 seed:

Jeff Walz’s Cardinals will enter the tournament with an overall record of 23-3. U of L won the ACC’s regular season title, but fell to NC State — who is the NCAA tournament’s overall No. 1 seed — by a bucket in the conference tournament title game.
This marks the seventh consecutive NCAA tournament where Louisville has earned a top four seed. The Cards were a No. 1 seed in both 2018 and 2019, and were poised to be a top two seed a year ago before Covid-19 canceled the Big Dance.
Let’s get ready for the Red Foxes.
