After being forced to cancel Sunday’s game at Syracuse because of a positive Covid-19 team within the program, the U of L women’s basketball team announced Tuesday morning that it is back in business.
Here’s the release:
University of Louisville women’s basketball announced today that it will resume basketball activities effective immediately.
The team will participate in organized full team practice on Tuesday afternoon.
Last Friday, it was announced that Sunday’s game at Syracuse had been postponed after there was a positive test by a Tier 1 staff member. Due to the positive test, the program went through subsequent quarantining and contact tracing, and adhered to the outlined protocols within the ACC Medical Advisory Group report, which is available at theACC.com.
The 3rd-ranked Cardinals are set to be back in action Thursday night at Pittsburgh. The game is set for an 8 p.m. tip and the ACC Network will have the call.
