NC State may have fallen out of the national rankings after last weekend’s 1-point loss to Miami, but the Wolfpack are solid favorites to bounce-back with a win over Louisville on Saturday night.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, NC State is a 7-point favorite to get the better of a U of L team that is coming to Raleigh off of a 28-14 triumph over Boston College last week.
Louisville’s win over BC was a much-needed positive start to the second half of the season for a Cardinal team that had previously taken back-to-back gut-punch losses from ACC foes. Three weeks ago, U of L fell at Wake Forest, 37-34, on a Demon Deacon field goal in the closing seconds. A week later, Scott Satterfield’s team couldn’t hang on to a 17-point fourth quarter lead and missed a field goal at the final horn to walk away with a 34-33 defeat.
NC State, meanwhile, saw its four-game winning streak snapped via a 31-30 road loss to Miami. The Pack had been No. 18 in the Associated Press top 25 poll, but fell out of the rankings following the defeat.
Louisville and NC State will kick things off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night in Raleigh. The ACC Network will have the television coverage.
