In a battle of ACC Atlantic Division foes that have both lost back-to-back games, Louisville is slightly favored to defeat Boston College on Saturday and start the second half of its 2021 season on a strong note.
The Cardinals opened the week as a 9-point favorite over the Eagles, but that number has been steadily dropping all week. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, U of L is currently a 5.5 point favorite to score its second conference win of the season. The over/under for the game is set at a modest 57 points.
Louisville is coming off of a bye week, but before that, the Cards were handed back-to-back gut-punch losses. Three weeks ago, U of L fell at Wake Forest, 37-34, on a Demon Deacon field goal in the closing seconds. A week later, Scott Satterfield’s team couldn’t hang on to a 17-point fourth quarter lead and missed a field goal at the final horn to walk away with a 34-33 defeat.
After a 4-0 start, Boston College has also dropped consecutive games. The Eagles were bested by Clemson, 19-13, before taking a more humbling 33-7 beatdown a week later at NC State.
Louisville is 7-6 all-time in games against Boston College, including a 4-2 mark in home contests.
