For the seventh straight year, the Louisville women’s basketball team will begin a season with a top 10 national ranking in the Associated Press top 25 poll.
Jeff Walz’s Cards were picked sixth in the preseason poll by the AP, just one spot below ACC rival NC State. South Carolina, UConn, Stanford and Maryland topped the poll.
The last time U of L was not picked as a preseason top 10 team was all the way back in 2014, when the Cards started the year at No. 12.
