Selah Brown, the four-star defensive lineman from Male High School who has been the source of much attention from the Louisville fan base over the last couple of years, is down to three choices for his college destination.
Brown announced on social media Sunday evening that his three finalists are U of L, Illinois and Northwestern.

TOP 3, thanks to every college that took time to recruit me, truly blessed! Commitment soon… ⏳ pic.twitter.com/t0KJRnZCmN
Noticeably absent from this list is Kentucky, which hosted Brown during its upset of Florida earlier this month. The Wildcats were the first school to offer Brown a scholarship, with U of L following suit a day later.
Brown has previously stated a desire to make his college announcement “soon.” That would seem to be good news for Louisville, which is widely believed to be the leader for the local talent, but is facing a strong late push from Illinois.
The 247 Sports composite rankings have Brown as the No. 326 overall player in the class of 2022, and the 44th-best defensive lineman in the country.
If you want to start reversing the narrative about not being able to keep the best local talent home, Scott Satterfield and company have got to bring this one home.
