Despite Saturday night’s disappointing performance against Miami, Louisville fell just six spots from No. 18 to No. 24 in the latest Associated Press top 25 poll. The Hurricanes jumped from No. 17 to No. 12.
U of L’s next opponent, Pittsburgh, appears in this week’s poll at No. 21.
Does it feel a bit hollow hanging onto a national ranking primarily because teams from the Big Ten (and potentially others) won’t be featured until they begin play next month? I don’t know, who cares?
