The Louisville football team received 66 votes from the voters of the preseason coaches poll. That wasn’t enough for the Cards to crack the top 25, but it did place U of L eighth in the “others receiving votes” category.

Two opponents on Louisville’s newly released 2020 schedule appear in the rankings — No. 10 Notre Dame and No. 24 Virginia Tech. A pair of ACC teams the Cards will not face — No. 1 Clemson and No. 19 North Carolina — also made the top 25. Miami (58) and Virginia (13) joined U of L in receiving votes.
