—247 Sports ranks the 50 best players in college football. TuTu Atwell checks in at No. 28.
28. Tutu Atwell, WR, Louisville
The first thing you should know about Atwell is a number: 4.27. That’s his 40 time, and it’s a huge reason Atwell became one of the nation’s most dynamic playmakers last season. Atwell finished his sophomore season with 70 catches for 1,276 yards and 12 touchdowns. He led the ACC in yards and finished second in touchdowns. He’s not big (5-foot-8, 153 pounds) but his wiggle and ability to change directions on a dime made him the most efficient receiver in football, leading the country with 4.17 yards per route run, according to PFF College. By the way, Atwell did all of that as a sophomore after playing quarterback throughout his high school career.
