On the same day that the Louisville men’s basketball team resumed offseason activities after pausing for two weeks because of a pair of positive COVID-19 tests, the Cardinal swimming program announced that it would be enduring a temporary suspension of all team activities.

Here’s the release from U of L:

The University of Louisville has temporarily suspended all men’s and women’s swimming voluntary activities occurring in UofL’s Ralph Wright Natatorium for two weeks after three members of the program tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The suspension of activities began on Saturday, July 18. All proper procedures and protocols are being followed, including the quarantining of those impacted. We look forward to a resumption of swimming activities soon.

Here’s hoping the Cards are healthy and back in the pool very soon.
