Highly-touted Louisville football commit Benjamin Perry has announced that he will be playing in the 2021 Under Armour All-American Game Jan. 2 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Benjamin Perry, the Chicago safety who committed to U of L on May 10, was recently promoted to a four-star prospect by 247 Sports, which rates him as the No. 157 overall player in the class. That puts him in rarefied air both nationally and as a Cardinal commit.

Only two other prospects in the rankings went from unranked to higher than Perry in the latest edition. He had been the No. 11 player ranked in the state.

The rankings said Perry “was already ranked high regionally but as the national staff compared him to the rest of the board, it was clear he belonged about the better safeties in the class. He has great size and ability in the box but impressed with cover skills in 7-on-7s where a couple of 247’s national team saw him.”

Perry, who is expected to sign in December, is one of the highest-ranked Louisville commitments of all-time in the 247 rankings. Only two players - Jawon Pass and James Quick - had a ranking of 93 or higher by 247. Around 12 U of L signees had a 90 or better since 2011.

Congrats to Perry on the continued string of accolades.
