#48 Jordan Thomas

Class: RS Junior

Ht/Wt: 5-11/170

Position: Wide Receiver

Hometown: Lexington, KY

Twitter: N/A

Thoughts: Jordan has been with the program for a few seasons now and was able to get a few game day reps last year against the Colonels of EKU, a nice treat for the Lexington native I’m sure.

While Jordan has fought the uphill battle of competing for PT in a ridiculously overpopulated wide receivers room the last few seasons the new staff is balancing things out some with a more manageable 13 players (in 2017 it was 18 wideouts!) on the 2020 roster. While I would still anticipate Jordan predominantly remaining in a back up role with the Cards returning over 83% of receiving yardage from 2019, he will likely have some opportunities as he did in 2019 to get some situational snaps, and that includes getting out there on Special Teams.

Sweet Tweet: No twitter for Jordan that I could locate but there is a Dr. Jordan Thomas who pops up when I do a google search. Impressive that Jordan could complete undergrad and medical school all while playing football and only being a Junior (must have used that redshirt year for med school). I’ll assume he is a hand surgeon because honestly that helps me set up my next question and Mr. Roger’s said I can imagine anything I want to, so get over it.

Over the Spring/summer I’ve been seeing these ‘Pick 3’ questions pop up on twitter where they give you five or six items and you get to pick three to keep and lose the others forever. What I never saw in my TL was the ultimate question…your hand. Dr. Thomas only has time to save three of your fingers, which three can you not live without and which two can you get rid of? I expect heated discussions in the comments.
