Thoughts: This will be Sowders third season in the program after walking on back in 2018 out of J-Town. Sowders was a four year guy for the Chargers and made some All-State squads back in that time but for now Sowders is adding some much needed depth at the O-line spot. I’ve beat this dead horse so badly they had to move Derby back to September, but the roster management from Petrino was scary bad, and one of the areas hit hardest was on the line. The staff has done well pulling in bodies these last couple classes and targeting some really solid guys in 2021 as well but players like Sowders were essential to provide support and backup to the fellas up front because an injury or two a couple seasons back and I think the staff would have been pulling down guys from the stands.
Not sure if we see much of Sowders on Saturdays this year but his contribution doesn’t mean an ounce less than it did two seasons ago, and his number could get called at any time.

Louisville just destroys other schools year in and year out when it comes to community service and nearly every one of these type posts I come across it seems like Emmanuel is partaking in the opportunity to give back to his city. Love to see it.
