4-Star Point Guard Bobby Pettiford Commits To Louisville

Chris Mack gets adds to an improving 2021 recruiting class.

NCAA Basketball: Louisville at Virginia Amber Searls-USA TODAY Sports

Louisville basketball got some good news today when Bobby Pettiford committed to the Cards. Pettiford is a point guard out of North Carolina who recently got a ratings bump in the 247 rankings. He’s now ranked as the 13th best point guard in the country by that service and a top 150 player in the composite rankings. He chose Louisville over Ole Miss, Providence, Virginia Tech, and a few others.

Chris Mack will likely need some help at guard with the potential for David Johnson to test the NBA waters if he has a strong season. Pettiford should have an opportunity to play early in some capacity.

Pettiford joins Bryce Hopkins in the 2021 class. Hopkins also moved up the rankings and now ranks as the 35th best player in the class in the composite rankings.
