One of the most disappointing aspects of Louisville’s 2019-20 season — outside of the overall way it ended — was Malik Williams suffering a second lower body injury just as he was playing the best basketball of his career and emerging as the Cards’ unquestioned top force in the paint.
Thankfully, Williams will be back in 2020-21 to serve as (assumedly) a captain for the second time in his U of L career. He talked with the media via teleconference on Friday about the end of last season, his overall health, and how he’s dealt with everything that’s happened over the last eight weeks.
