The post season accolades continue to pile up for Louisville’s Dana Evans, who has now been named a Second Team All-American by the Associated Press.
Evans is the fourth player in Louisville program history to be named an AP First Team or Second Team All-American. Angel McCoughtry (2008-09) and Asia Durr (2017-18; 2018-19) were named first team, while McCoughtry (2006-07; 2007-08) and Shoni Schimmel earned second team honors.
Evans was named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year after leading the league in three-point field goals made (90), three-point field goals made per game (3.0), three-point field goal percentage (43.1%) and free-throw percentage (89.0%). Her 90 three-point field goals made this season ranked 12th in the country and eighth all-time in Louisville history.
Thankfully, we get one more season to watch Evans shine in red, white and black.
