There will be no March Madness in 2020. There will be no College World Series. There will be no NCAA championships of any sort.
The NCAA confirmed the worst case scenario on Thursday afternoon, announcing that wall remaining winter and spring championships for 2020 have been canceled because of concerns over the coronavirus. Not postponed, canceled.
The Louisville men’s basketball team ends its season with an overall record of 24-7.
Ryan McMahon, Dwayne Sutton, Jordan Nwora, Steven Enoch, Fresh Kimble and Keith Oddo all played their final games as Cardinals without ever knowing it. They are understandably upset.

I thought the NCAA would put things on hold for a few weeks before taking this step, but here we are.
I think it’s fine to recognize and respect that moves are being made with the general public’s best interests in mind, but to still also be super bummed about all of this. These are the four weeks I spend the rest of the year looking forward to, and I know I’m not alone. This tough.
To the seniors, thank you for everything. I couldn’t be more sorry that it’s ending like this.
