The common thought throughout the 2019-20 Louisville basketball season has been that Jordan Nwora’s junior season with the Cardinals would be his last. That thought has now become unofficially official.

Based on this tweet from official U of L basketball Twitter account, it appears Nwora will be among those honored during Louisville’s Senior Day festivities on Sunday.

Nwora went through the draft process after his sophomore season and was ultimately one of the last players in the country to announce that he would be returning to school. He reportedly made the decision during a layover on his way back to Louisville on deadline day for underclassmen to announce that they’re staying in the draft or returning to school.

Nwora currently leads Louisville and ranks second in the ACC in scoring at 17.9 points per game. His 37 points in a Jan. 29 win at Boston College were the most of any player in the ACC this season, and the third most ever for a Cardinal player in a road game.

Louisville hosts Virginia Tech on Sunday at 6 p.m. Nwora and seniors Dwayne Sutton, Ryan McMahon, Steven Enoch, Fresh Kimble and Keith Oddo will be honored in a ceremony before tip-off, and then will address the crowd following the game.
