Tutu Atwell has played his final game for Louisville.
The electric Cardinal wide receiver announced on his social media Tuesday afternoon that he won’t be suiting up for U of L against Wake Forest on Saturday, and that he has decided to forego his remaining college eligibility to focus on the NFL draft.

As a sophomore in 2019, Atwell put together one of the most sensational individual seasons in U of L history. He set a new school record for receiving yards with 1,276, and tied the school record for receiving touchdowns with 12. He led the ACC in both of those categories, as well as in receiving yards per game (98.2). Those numbers earned him First Team All-American status from Pro Football Focus.
Through 10 games this season, Atwell has led Louisville in receptions (47) and touchdown catches (7), and ranks second in receiving yards (625). He’s also added one rushing touchdown to his total.
Best of luck to TuTu at the next level. He was one of — if not the biggest — reasons why the 2019 season was such a joy to follow.
