The Louisville women’s basketball team is No. 2 in this week’s AP top 25 poll, which matches the highest ranking in program history.

Five other times Louisville has been ranked second in the AP poll, once last season, three times in 2018-19 and once in 2017-18.
Stanford is the new No. 1 team in the country, rising one spot after South Carolina’s home loss to then-No. 8 NC State. Louisville received two first-place votes.
