Louisville women’s basketball climbs to No. 2 in new AP poll

The Louisville women’s basketball team is No. 2 in this week’s AP top 25 poll, which matches the highest ranking in program history.

This is what happens when you beat DePaul by a billion on national television.

Five other times Louisville has been ranked second in the AP poll, once last season, three times in 2018-19 and once in 2017-18.

Stanford is the new No. 1 team in the country, rising one spot after South Carolina’s home loss to then-No. 8 NC State. Louisville received two first-place votes.
