Vote now for the 2020 Card Chronicle Person of the Year

Here are your four finalists to be the 2020 Card Chronicle Person of the Year:

Jeff Walz

—Though he’s never won the honor, Walz is now a CC Person of the Year finalist for the fifth time.

—Led the 2019-20 Cards to a 28-4 overall record and another outright ACC regular season title. Had the team poised to be a top two seed in the NCAA tournament.

—Brought in yet another top three recruiting class, headlined by five-star guard Hailey Van Lith.

—Has the 2020-21 Cards currently unbeaten at 5-0 and ranked No. 2 in the AP top 25 poll.

Donovan Mitchell

—Continued his turn towards full-fledged NBA superstardom by averaging 36.3 ppg in the Jazz’s seven playoff games.

—Scored 57 points in one of those games, the third-most in NBA Playoffs history, slotting Mitchell behind only Michael Jordan and Elgin Baylor.

—Signed a monster extension with the Jazz and continues to release new editions of his signature shoe, all while continuing to be one of the most prominent U of L athletics supporters in the world.

—Donated a ton of money as well as proceeds from his shoe sales to worthy causes.

Chris Mack

—Making his second appearance as a CC POY finalist.

—Led the 2019-20 Cardinals to a 24-7 record and a No. 3 seed in the canceled ACC tournament.

—Called out Kentucky and John Calipari before the start of the 2020-21 season, then beat the Wildcats two months later.

—Currently has Louisville at 6-1 as the calendar prepares to turn to 2021.

Dana Evans

—Was named 2019-20 ACC Player of the Year after averaging 17.9 points per game for a Louisville team that went 16-2 in conference play.

—Was a consensus preseason First Team All-American heading into 2020-21.

—Is currently averaging a team-best 21.0 ppg for the undefeated and second-ranked Cardinals.

The polls will stay open from now until Friday morning, at which point we will crown out latest CC POY.
