On the heels of a big basketball win over Kentucky today, Scott Satterfield got some good news himself. Bryan Hudson announced that he would be transferring to Louisville tonight where he will play Offensive Line. Hudson played both Center and Guard during his time at Virginia Tech and Louisville has to fill both positions in 2021. Hudson will ha
Louisville is getting a somewhat local prospect in Hudson. He played his high school ball at Scott County in Georgetown and he has ties to Louisville with his sister being a Track & Field athlete for the Cards. Hudson was a target of the previous football staff but they weren’t able to keep him home at the time. Scott Satterfield and Dwayne Ledford were able to take advantage of VT going through a complete meltdown from an attrition standpoint to land him as a transfer. Hudson will have three years to play.
Hudson started 10 games at Center as a freshman last season but moved to Right Guard this year. He couldn’t hold on to his starting spot after being the starter at the beginning of the season. I would expect him to get a shot to replace Cole Bentley at the Center spot for Louisville but he could also play other spots on the line. At 6-4/311, he could even end up playing Tackle if needed. I’m sure Ledford will find a way to use a guy who was a PFF second team Freshman All-American.
