Evaluation:

Louisville needs help with the pass rush badly and Gillotte will bring that help when he arrives. Though he needs time to bulk up, I would be surprised if he doesn’t have a chance to be a situational pass rusher in the fall. Gillotte has an insane motor and plays with great speed off the edge. He’s raw from a technique standpoint but getting on campus early should help him work on the two things that could hold him back. There is no player in this class that works as hard as him so I think we’ll be seeing him on the field in a special teams role, at least.

Summary:

Louisville was always the favorite to land Gillotte once they made him a priority. He seemed to really strike a bond with Mark Ivey and bought in to what was being sold to him. Once he joined the class he worked to recruit other players in his area and bond with the guys always in the class. He’s one of the most outgoing and biggest personalities in the class. He will be enrolling in January.
