Highlights:
Evaluation:
Louisville is getting another big and long player in Sorensen. He’s 6-4 with long arms that he knows how to use to beat blockers. He should have no problem adding weight and I see him as a Nose Tackle down the road. He doesn’t have a great get-off and struggles a bit rushing off the edge but he should do very well against the run once he puts on some weight. He knows how to extend his arms to control blockers and he sheds guys well at the high school level. I question if he has the quickness needed to be disruptive in this system but time will tell.
Summary:
Sorensen was an early commitment for Nebraska before backing off of that pledge and immediately being rumored to be a Louisville lean. Mark Ivey was the lead recruiter here but Frank Ponce’s connections in Florida helped UofL get their foot in the door. Sorensen shut things down once he committed.
