TJ Quinn is a truly impressive tackler for a high school player. It’s the first thing that jumped out to me when I first watched his film and it jumped out again when I wrote this. He is just so sound in his technique and brings his entire body when he makes contact. Quinn claims a 4.4 forty time and the track highlights I’ve seen seem to back that up but it doesn’t always show in his football highlights. Even if he’s close to that number, it will bode well for the Louisville defense.

Summary:

Quinn was a heavy Virginia Tech lean before Derek Nicholson took over his recruitment. Quinn’s father has flat out said that once Nicholson came into the picture it was a done deal. TJ was a silent commit for a bit because he wanted to make his announcement on his terms but this ended up being a very quick process once all of the information came out. Quinn will enroll in January.
