Highlights:
Evaluation:
I think Louisville is getting a steal in Banks. He is a massive player at 6-6/255 and his frame will easily add weight to it. The best part of his game, in my opinion, is his ability to move with that size. Banks could be an edge rusher in some schemes but he could be a Nose Tackle for UofL on early downs while sliding out to the Defensive End spot in passing situations. I think he has that type of skill set and he will be able to keep those skills as he bulks up. I view him as the type of big athlete that the staff has put a premium on.
Summary:
Banks joined the class recently after Arizona State started either pulling scholarships or players started to all change their minds around the same time. Their loss ended up as Louisville’s gain as Banks will join his former teammate, Christian Fitzpatrick in Louisville. Dwayne Ledford really wanted Banks for the Offensive Line but Banks wants to play defense in college so he will get his shot to do so. I wouldn’t be shocked if he ends up on offense down the road if things don’t work out on defense.
