Highlights:
Evaluation:
Louisville is getting another guy who can really move well while also being a nasty run blocker. Dwayne Ledford has built a group of athletic guys who fit what he wants to do and Gonzalez seems to be a candidate for early playing time with a couple of interior positions opening up. The main thing that stands out about his game is that Gonzalez can move his feet really well in pass sets. The fundamentals look to be strong which should pay off for him in college.
Summary:
Gonzalez had a very quiet recruitment but he did seem like a guy who could stay home with NC State and UNC both offering. Dwayne Ledford offered the potential to play early with Robbie Bell and Cam DeGeorge both leaving after the season and that seems to have been a factor in his decision. He also has enough length that he could play tackle in college if that is where he fits better. Gonzalez will enroll in January.
