The Louisville football defections continue to roll on, with veteran safety Russ Yeast and freshman quarterback Tee Webb being the latest to announce that they’re moving on.
Yeast, a former four-star recruit, appeared in 45 games and made 29 starts over four seasons at U of L. He accumulated 137 tackles, nine pass breakups, three forced fumbles, and one interception.

While it’s not overly shocking to hear that Yeast won’t be using his extra year of eligibility to spend one more season with the Cards, it is a bit surprising (at least to me) that Yeast is transferring somewhere else and not just trying to begin a professional career.
Webb was the lone quarterback in Scott Satterfield’s 2020 recruiting class. The three-star recruit had the unenviable task of replacing Trevor Lawrence at Cartersville High School in Georgia, but did so effectively. He was billed as more of a pure pocket passer coming out of high school than a dual threat, which may have played a part in his decision.
Also potentially playing a part may have been the rumors that Louisville will be adding a grad transfer quarterback — the internet is abuzz with talk that said QB will be Garrett Shrader from Mississippi State — for next season.
This now brings the list of players transferring or leaving early to ...
