Louisville might not be highly-regarded in the various early top 25 rankings that have been floating around the internet since last March, but one of college basketball’s most trusted voices believes Chris Mack has a top 15 team heading into 2020-21.

Ken Pomeroy made the boss move of dropping his initial rankings in the middle of Presidential election madness Tuesday night. Those rankings have Mack’s Cardinals at No. 14.

A quick look at the ACC shows ...

No. 3 Duke
No. 14 Louisville
No. 16 Virginia
No. 19 Florida State
No. 23 North Carolina
No. 29 Syracuse
No. 30 Virginia Tech
No. 40 Clemson
No. 41 Miami
No. 55 NC State
No. 73 Georgia Tech
No. 83 Pittsburgh
No. 100 Notre Dame
No. 106 Boston College
No. 130 Wake Forest

This flies in the face of pretty much every ACC preview written this offseason, all of which have had Virginia at the top of the league standings.

Three weeks from today, there will be basketball.
