Louisville basketball’s non-conference opponents are set

Let’s get it.

Thanks to a pair of scheduling announcements on Thursday, we now know the seven non-conference opponents that the Louisville men’s basketball team will face in 2020-21.

According to the Courier Journal’s Shannon Russell, the five teams the Cards will face in the Louisville Bubble(TM) are Southern Illinois, Seton Hall, Prairie View A&M, Western Kentucky and UNC Greensboro. U of L will face the Salukis (that’s Southern Illinois) on opening night (that’s Nov. 25) and then square off against Seton Hall two days later.

We also found out that Louisville’s destination for this year’s ACC-Big Ten Challenge is a road trip to Wisconsin. The Cardinals and Badgers have played just one time before, a U of L victory in 1978.

So here’s what Louisville’s 2020-21 non-conference slate looks like:

Nov. 25 — vs. Southern Illinois (Louisville Bubble)

Nov. 27 — vs. Seton Hall (Louisville Bubble)

Dec. 9 — At Wisconsin (ACC-Big 10 Challenge)

Dec. 26 — vs. Kentucky

TBD — vs. Prairie View A&M (Louisville Bubble)

TBD — vs. Western Kentucky (Louisville Bubble)

TBD — vs. UNC Greensboro (Louisville Bubble)

Not bad at all. Now let’s make it happen.
