Welcome back, Kevin Willard.

As has been reported by virtually every college basketball writer in America, Seton Hall is the latest team to join the Louisville Bubble. Kevin Willard and the Pirates will play one game in Louisville against the Cardinals, and one game against another team in the event.

So here’s the updated list of teams for this event:

Louisville

Seton Hall

Arkansas Little Rock

Duquesne

Southern Illinois

Prairie View A&M

UNC Greensboro

Western Kentucky

Winthrop

Seton Hall was enjoying its best season in three decades before Covid ripped the 2020 NCAA tournament away from all of us at the last second. The Pirates lose four starters from that squad, including First Team All-American Myles Powell. They do return a double figure scorer in senior forward Sandro Mamukelashvili (11.9 ppg), as well as a key veteran contributors Jared Rhoden (9.1 ppg) and Myles Cale (6.0 ppg). They also add one of the better grad transfers in the country in former Harvard star Bryce Aiken (16.7 ppg).

Louisville and Seton Hall have squared off 20 times over the years, with the Cardinals owning a 14-6 advantage. They most recently played a home-and-home series in 2017 and 2018, with both team winning a tight game on the other’s home floor.

Happy to have another big name in the event, and happy that the Jeremy Hazell nightmares won’t start for another 3-4 weeks.
