Louisville commit Hailey Van Lith dropped 35 points on Saturday as her Cashmere High School (Wash.) team rolled to a 62-27 win over Medical Lake.
The performance wasn’t anything out of the ordinary for the No. 2 overall player in the class of 2020, except for the fact that it happened in front of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gigi. After the game, it was the NBA’s third all-time leading scorer who wanted to make sure he got his picture with the future Cardinal.

“We took a trip to Cashmere today to watch @haileyvanlith11 hoop and she and her teammates put on a show,” Bryant wrote on Instagram. “Can’t wait to watch her play next season @uoflwbb.”
This would seem to be a good early sign in the recruitment of Bryant’s daughter.
Van Lith was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Washington last season after averaging 34.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.2 steals and 4.9 assists per game for Cashmere. She’s averaging over 30 points per game once again this season.
