Louisville RB Dae Williams enters transfer portal

NCAA Football: Western Kentucky at Louisville Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

Buried on the depth chart behind Javian Hawkins, Hassan Hall and Maurice Burkley, Louisville junior RB Dae Williams has announced that he will transfer out of the program.

In his announcement, Williams maintained an extremely positive tone, acknowledging the change in culture under new head coach Scott Satterfield, stating that he will continue to root for the Cardinals moving forward, and proclaiming that Hawkins and Hall will be “the best combo in college football.”

Injuries have plagued Williams throughout his college career, but when healthy, he’s shown flashes of an ability to be a solid college back. His best season came in 2017, when he appeared in five games, carrying 35 times for 232 yards and three touchdowns.

Best of luck to Dae with his next move.
