Thoughts: I’ve been telling y’all for five years that Khane Pass is a solid football player, and my opinion hasn’t changed. Has everything gone 100% according to plan? No, but it rarely ever does. What has happened though is that Khane, for nearly three years now, has solidified himself as not only a consistent contributor on defense but a regular starter at the safety position.
Khane finished 2018 with 54 tackles, good enough for 4th on the team, and had a few quality plays that even the ACC Digital Network highlighted.
While the defense the last two seasons hasn’t been as vibrant as those new red seats at Cardinal Stadium the Cards do have some guys that have shown they belong on the field. I was excited to get Khane way back in 2014 and he has shown himself to be the player I expected him to be. While he has some competition this year at the safety spot I think Khane keeps his job heading into the season and proves once again he belongs out there. The defense, in my opinion, will make some big strides in 2019, and while the secondary is a big question mark a leader like Khane, a 5th year guy who has been through all sorts of ups and downs, can make all the difference in helping them turn the corner and move in the right direction for season to come.

My man was taking his official visit back in January of 2015. Much simpler times. Cards just finished year one in the ACC and cookie cakes were still getting tossed out like yard sticks at the state fair. Five years later, let’s finish this journey on a high note.
