Jordan Nwora named Blue Ribbon All-American, graces magazine’s cover

The hype for the Cardinal’s junior season continues to mount.

Believe it or not, we’re now under 80 days away from the start of the 2019-20 college basketball season. A clear sign of that is that the sport’s first preview magazines/publications are just starting to trickle out.

One of the first to hit newsstands (or whatever we’ve decided the plug-in for “newsstands” is) is the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook, which has Louisville’s Jordan Nwora as one of five players featured on its cover.

Blue Ribbon Yearbook

Inside the magazine, Blue Ribbon names Nwora as one of its five preseason First Team All-Americans. He’s joined on the first team by Cassius Winston of Michigan State, Markus Howard of Marquette, Myles Powell of Seton Hall and Udoka Azubuike of Kansas.

Named the ACC’s Most Improved Player for 2019-10, Nwora was the third-most improved scorer in the nation last season. His 17.0 points per game were up 11.3 ppg from his 5.7 average as a freshman. Nwora scored in double figures in 31 of 34 games and was honored after the season as a Third Team All-ACC selection.
