Five-star guard Nimari Burnett (2020) out of Prolific Prep in Chicago has cut his final list of schools to five, and that list includes Louisville. Joining the Cardinals as finalists for Burnett are Michigan, Oregon, Texas Tech and Alabama.

Burnett had a monster spring/summer on the Nike EYBL circuit, averaging 19.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. He’s currently ranked as the No. 21 overall player in the 2020 class by ESPN.

A majority of descriptions of Burnett’s game peg him as a great ball-handler who’s physical off the bounce great at carving out space for himself. His primary issue seems to be consistency with the outside shot.

Though Louisville is clearly still very much on Burnett’s radar, most recruiting analysts seem to believe the Cardinals are behind both Alabama and Michigan.
