#38 Jack Fagot
Class: RS Sophomore
Ht/Wt: 6-0/190
Position: Defensive back
Hometown: Lexington, KY
Twitter: @jack_fagot
Thoughts: Sure, I’ve covered this young man for three years now on this very countdown but I know exactly what you’re all thinking. You read his bio up above and had a little snicker to yourself or thought “that poor kid” but guess what….not everyone out of Lexington is a bad person. You’ll just have to get over it, guys. Moving on.
Jack is a former walk-on for the Cards out of Lexington Catholic back in 2016. I say “former” because Jack was one of the three young men who worked his tail off the last couple seasons and ‘done went and got him a scholly’.
(yes, I’m reporting this same video again. I doubt any of you will have a problem with that)

Jack has been described by his coaches and fellow teammates as one of the most athletic guys on the team, running, jumping, hurdling…..he’s like a modern day ‘Dan & Dave’ out there. Last season, as predicted Jack got to ‘break his maiden’ on special teams, which is a great starting point for a fast and athletic player who isn’t afraid of contact. While the pre-fall depth chart had him as a third string free safety he will absolutely have a shot to slide into some PT on that side of the ball in addition to maintaining his time on special teams. As I spoke about yesterday, Coach Brown will need to develop some young talent to slide into some of the vacancies being left by upperclassman the next two years. Jack has just as good a shot as anyone to earn that role.
