Class: RS Senior

Position: Long Snapper
Hometown: Barrington, IL
Twitter: N/A
Thoughts: Brendan has been with the Cards for a few seasons now and will finish up his career with a tough stretch of luck when it comes to fighting for playing time. It just so happens that the very talented long snapper Lowery was on campus during the same time period as two of the best to ever do it. Colin Holba finished up his career a couple seasons back and was skilled enough that a NFL team actually spent a draft pick on him in 2017. Upon his departure the position was accepting applications and Lowery was primed to have a real shot at competing for that spot, then the staff was able to pull in the #2 ranked long snapper in the country in Mitch Hall, going so far as to offer him a full scholarship. Mitch did what they expected and won the gig, leaving Lowery and Massad on the outside looking in.
Lowery hasn’t been gathering dust by any means, in fact he’s had some playing opportunities the last couple years, including seeing significant action in five games last year towards the end of the season. While one would assume the vast majority of snaps will still come from Hall in 2019 I’m sure the recent graduate Lowery will get some reps just as he has in seasons past, and I hope he makes the best of them.
Sweet Tweet:
No tweet for Brendan but I found this tweet linking back to his analysis as a long snapper out of high school in the Chris Rubio Long Snapping Camp. Pretty cool to see how he’s developed the last 5 years.
