Thoughts: Keon is a walk-on for the Cards out of Palm Beach, adding some depth to the inside backer position for Coach Dale Jones. Keon mixed it up in high school playing some linebacker and getting his fingers dirty down at the end position. While those spots aren’t out of the realm of possibility at this level I thought Johnson would cut teeth in another group he also had plenty of reps in during high school…special teams.
A 250lb backer that can track the ball and keep a man in front of him is invaluable to a special teams coach and I think he would be a great fit in that unit. With the new staff this year I think that is one group as a whole that will be shaken up quite a bit in regards to how they want to set up returns on punts, play coverage, etc (Stu Holt and App State finished tied for first nationally with 3 punt return TDs last year and only allowed a 3.88yd/ret avg on defense).
I’ll go ahead and say we see Keon this season get some reps on that special teams unit and possibly work his way onto the field at linebacker in some learning situations.

It’s funny to me how people get so caught up in getting more followers. I mean, me, I really don’t care all that much. Five followers, five hundered followers, five thousand followers, its all the same to me. I guess if you want to follow me you can check out the link below just so I can save you some time. I appreciate it but by no means should you feel obligated to do so. It really doesn’t matter to me. I never even think about it.
If you want it, here ya go. @CardinaIStrong
